In the class Building Virtual Worlds
CMU-Entertainment Technology Center is a joint venture of the prestigious CMU SCS (School of Computer Science) and CMU CFA (College of Fine Arts). Building Virtual Worlds, which is pioneered by ETC co-founder Randy Pausch, challenges students to work quickly, creatively, and collaboratively.
In this course, teams of students have two weeks to create a virtual world, with new groups and goals for each round. It all culminates in a public festival to hundreds of spectators.
